4. "Hurican" $14,800 |
This painting was done in tribute to and in loving memory of a jaguar named “Hurican.” Hurican lived at the wildcat refuge and inspired me to paint and make reports to help protect endangered species. This painting shows Hurican’s beautiful face with the image of an eagle in flight symbolizing his spirit being set free. The jaguar shown on the right is keeping him company. This painting reminds me of a Mayan legend that talks of the jaguar that turns into an eagle at night and travels through the underworld as the sun. |

5. "Crane" $2,650 |
Inspired by the image of this graceful bird in the water with its reflection. It is so still and peaceful. This painting is about calmness and being totally present in the moment. This way the bird simply stands and waits for fish comes to it. This shows us that we do not have to struggle, that nature will provide if we are patient. It is a reminder to be grateful for nature gives us so much. |
